The granular mineral constitutes an effective physical barrier which by mechanical action keeps the slugs and snails away from they plants they like to eat. The product is resistent to rain and atmospheric agents and holds its properties intact for a long time once applied.
The rough grain of the inert granules of sepiolite, absorbent, with live edges, creates a surface that snails find hard to cross. The snails are not killed, but pushed back to the outside of the zone delimited by the barrier.
